It is the intent of Turner Construction to enter into an subcontract with the Apparent Low Bidders on the UC Merced Downtown Center. The Apparent Low Bidder will be awarded the project after review of the bids. The awarded subcontractor’s bid will be held valid for 90 days from award. Upon approval of the GMP and authorization by the University, Turner will issue a Subcontract to the Apparent Low Subcontractors. This should occur no later than May-June 2016. 3. PROPOSALS DUE: THURSDAY MAY 5, 2016 @ 2:00 pm (Late bids will not be accepted). NOTE THAT ONLY PREQUALIFIED INVITED SUBCONTRACTOR PROPOSALS WILL BE ACCEPTED AND OPENED.

Information submitted by the Bidder shall not be open to public inspection to the extent that information is exempt from disclosure under the California Public Records Act.
4. PROPOSAL PROCESS: Proposal (Bid Form – Item No. 05.1) with separate Prices for each Alternate (as applicable) and Unit Price (as applicable) are to be submitted in a sealed envelope to:

The envelope shall be identified with the Project name, Bidder's name and address, and the Bid Package # and name for which the Bid is submitted. If the Bid is sent by mail, the sealed envelope shall be enclosed in a separate mailing envelope with the notation “SEALED BID ENCLOSED” on the face thereof.
